Sen. Lisa Murkowski is the honorary host for this fun-filled weekend event that celebrates community-based science and wild Copper River Salmon.
Friday evening, we gather at the Reluctant Fisherman Inn for Gallery Night. Desserts are provided as guests preview a selection of the auction items, along with a chance to meet the artist/donor. This is also a great opportunity to catch up with friends and get acquainted with other guests of the event, all while enjoying the sunset over Cordova's boat harbor.
Saturday begins with an opportunity for adventure. Several options are available and all are promised to provide you with lasting memories of Cordova's natural beauty.
In the afternoon, during a dockside reception at our research facility, we present a Fisheries Achievement Award recognizing an individual or a group of individuals who have made a significant contribution toward the sustainable use of fishery resources in Prince William Sound or the Copper River regions.
Following the reception, a five-course gourmet dinner is served at the Orca Adventure Lodge historic cannery. Under an open-air tent, guests sample appetizers and sparkling wine, while mixing, mingling, and participating in the silent auction. The remainder of the dinner is enjoyed in the atmospheric dining hall. Engaging entertainment, a live auction, and gourmet desserts complete our evening.
Tickets are $125 per person. Advance purchase is required.
