The Prince William Sound Science Center offers many outreach programs for students in grades 7 through 12. Middle and high school classes can benefit from interactive classroom presentations and fieldtrips. Individuals can find assistance for science fair projects or participate in other events including National Ocean Sciences Bowl and the Youth Environmental Leadership Program.

If you are a teacher interested in organizing a fieldtrip, special event, class presentation, or monitoring project for your students contact us.

NOSB

NOSB - National Ocean Sciences Bowl is a national academic competition held each year. Prince William Sound Science Center Education Staff have been coaching Cordova's NOSB teams since 2002.

Science Festival
The annual science festival is held around the same time as the Ice Worm Festival each year in Cordova. Students at the local Jr. and Sr. High School are invited to participate in this as an opportunity to gain experience with traditional science fairs, to outreach special scientific information they are learning, and to interact with local professional scientists. The Imaginarium often brings their Star Lab and other interactive exhibits.

YELP
The Youth Environmental Leadership Program (YELP) has been an annual or bi-annual event since 2004. High School aged students are invited to learn about the environment and specific issues affecting our local area while gaining the skills and experience necessary to be an active leader in their community.
